Openings
We have open enrollment year-round, for both full- and part-time slots. Please contact Rachael (Director) at 413-548-9674 to find out what openings we currently have in our toddler and preschool rooms.
Rates
For September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2012, our rates are:

Application Process
Prior to enrollment, children should visit the Center with their parents. Mornings are usually the best time for visits. Once the family has decided that their child will attend the Center, the enrollment person will schedule an intake conference. During this conference, the staff member and parents will discuss the child, go over the Parent Handbook, and decide upon an orientation procedure that suits the needs of the child and the family. This typically consists of extra pre-enrollment visits and/or modification of the daily or weekly schedule in the beginning of the enrollment period (e.g., shorter hours or fewer days).
At the time of enrollment, the following completed forms must be on file:
- Enrollment application, including 3 emergency numbers
- Health examination form (including immunization record and proof of lead-paint screening if the child is over 24 months old)
- Permission forms for emergency medical treatment, bug repellent and sunscreen, and hospital transport
- Financial contract form, which includes the following terms:
- A deposit equal to the cost of your schedule for 2 weeks is required by the time of your child's admittance (the amount of the deposit will be returned in full at the time of termination provided that two weeks notice has been given and your payments are up-to-date)
- Tuition is due by the 15th of the month
- If your tuition bill has not been paid by the last day of the month and a payment schedule has not been agreed upon, enrollment may be terminated
Calendar
The day care is open from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm Monday through Friday on a year-round basis. There are fourteen holiday closures per year: Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving, Winter Holiday, New Year's, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Patriots' Day, and Memorial Day.
The Center is open throughout the winter months barring a local snow emergency situation. If the Center will be closed due to weather conditions or any other emergency, a message will be left on the HFCDC answering machine by 7:00 am to inform parents. Likewise, in order for us to determine staff needs when there might be a lot of absences, we ask that you notify the Center by 9:00 am if a child will not be attending school that day.
