Springfield Symphony’s Musical Petting
Zoo
a fun and hands-on way to learn about musical instruments
The Springfield
Symphony Musical Petting Zoo is a fun and informative demonstration and
hands-on exhibit of musical instruments for children. Each child participating
in the program will receive an Activity Book that includes information,
coloring activities, and games about orchestra instruments. Children will gain
a basic knowledge of instrument families and will learn how to play many
instruments featured in the orchestra. Presented
by Kate Forman Quayle.

The BIG Party
Saturday, April 4th from 10am-5pm
Featuring……Gaia Roots, Happy Dan the Music Man, Ezzel and the Rainbow Players, Nataraj, UmojaToo, Shali’s Belly Dancers,
Omulu Guanabara Capoeira, Miss Leticia, & local youth band "DNA"
A full day of music, dance, & theater performances for the whole
family.
There
will be great raffle prizes, a lunch/bake sale, clowns, face painting,
sample classes, storytelling, free workshops, an interactive mural and much
more... like Bob Hepner’s
Carnival Truck!
This
year’s workshops include: Textiles with Susan Loring-Wells, Clay for Kids by MudPie Potters,
Recycled Art by Djali, sample class
of Music Together for Valley Families by Debbie Weyl, plus
Telling
Songs & Singing Stories by local children’s book authors Paul
Jacobs & Jennifer Swender.
