Hampshire Franklin Children's Day Care Center – Staff

Director: Rachael
Rachael has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Wheelock College, and both a Master of Education and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Education from the University of Massachusetts. She was hired as Director of HFCDC in 2001. Rachael has over 25 years of experience in education, providing high quality care for a wide variety of clients in Washington, California, and Massachusetts. Rachael's strengths include designing and implementing innovative curriculum, excellent organization, and communication skills.

Preschool Team

Teacher: Elizabeth ("Bizzy")
Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Before coming to work at HFCDC in January of 2007, Elizabeth worked as both a shift manager and residential counselor at the Northeast Center for Youth and Families in Easthampton, Massachusetts. Since she began working at the Center, Elizabeth has taken a continuing education class in Child Development. Bizzy's favorite thing to do with the children is to read them their favorite books.

Assistant Teacher: Amanda
Amanda is currently enrolled as an undergraduate at Greenfield Community College with plans to transfer to UMASS Amherst in the spring of 2013. She is Lead Teacher certified by the Department of Early Education and Care and worked at HFCDC from 2007 until the fall of 2009 when she left to have her son. In May 2011, Amanda returned to HFCDC and filled the assistant teacher position in the preschool room. Her son is enrolled in the toddler room and they both love being a part of the HFCDC community. As an assistant teacher in preschool, Amanda enjoys working in the butterfly garden with the children and fostering their curiosity when exploring outside.

Toddler Team

Teacher: Grinnan
Grinnan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Her previous child care experience includes providing child care at both a private home and center-based facility in western Massachusetts. Grinnan's favorite thing to do with the kids is art projects - the messier the better!
