The Center is open from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm Monday through Friday on a year-round basis. There are fourteen holiday closures per year: Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), Winter Holiday (3 days), New Year's, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Patriots' Day, and Memorial Day.
The Center is open throughout the winter months barring a local snow emergency situation. If the Center will be closed due to weather conditions or any other emergency, a message will be posted on Facebook and a group email will be sent to current members by 6:30 AM. Likewise, in order for us to determine staff needs when there might be a lot of absences, we ask that you notify the Center by 9:00 am if a child will not be attending school that day.
Children will learn at their own pace and in their own way when given the opportunity and freedom to do so. Caring and resourceful adults - parents, families, and teachers - need to work together to nourish children's developing image of themselves as strong, compassionate people.
